ABOUT ME

Joanna Gwozdz was born in Lublin, Poland. After graduating from the University of Maria Curie-Sklodovska (Lublin, Poland) and receiving her Master’s Degree in Law, she decided to come to the United States and continued her legal education in New York. She received her Master Degree in Law from Touro Law School in 2007. After graduating Touro Law School, she joined the estate planning firm of Connors and Sullivan, PLLC and in 2009 she was admitted to New York Bar Association.

In June 2014, she opened her own practice.

Fully fluent in Polish, she presents seminars on Trust and Estates, Medicaid and asset protection and serves as an advocate for the Polish American Community in New York.

Mrs. Gwozdz focuses her law practice on counseling families and individuals in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, Real Estate, Estate Administration and Asset Protection. She advises clients how to avoid probate and protect their assets, how to plan for long-term medical expenses and how to obtain Medicaid (Nursing Home and Home Care Services). She also helps executors, administrators, families and other individuals to go through difficult court proceedings and assists in the administering of decedent’s estates.
